Bearing the Pain of Broken Heart

We all have different kinds of lives, so do our pain and sufferings. Someone has the pain of failure and the other has the pain of misery, and what about the pain of broken heart? It pains enough more than anything else and we ignore it as if it is not a part of our body. Heart is the most precious organ of our body, not just because of the functions it performs but also because it can see the things which our eyes can’t and it can understand the things which our mind can’t. Our mind can betray us but our heart can’t. It allows us to feel the purest relation on earth, love.

The most beautiful things on earth cannot be seen or even touched, they must be felt by the heart.

-Helen Keller

When it is so special, so why does it get broken? It gets broken when our most precious relationships are broken or we simply let them go off. The biggest evil for this is misunderstanding. A single moment of misunderstanding is so poisonous, that it makes us forget the hundred lovable moments spent together within a minute. It is not that only weak people suffer the pain of broken heart. Every heart has a pain. Only the way of expressing is different. ‘Fools’ hide it in their eyes while ‘Brilliants’ hide it in their smile. But why do we bear this pain? It is simply because we don’t want to hurt others around us, but that does not mean we should hide it in ourselves to let it accumulate and poison us every single moment. Just let it come out. Share your pain. Don’t just brood over it.

A smile may conceal a broken heart but a frown is the only cure. Accepting is the first step.

So from now, start accepting the pain of your heart andlet it come out. Bare your heart from this pain. It will let you enjoy your life to its fullness.

  1. I have been feeling it. You are right. The mind is a useful thing to have, but nothing else takes the place of the heart for feeling. I am doing better, but it’s been more than two years since I got my heart broken and it still hurts. I sometimes wonder if that pain ever goes away completely.
